Title: Advancements in Fuel Cell Technology and Design: Investigating Innovative Approaches and Potential Applications

Abstract:

This academic paper examines the advancements in fuel cell technology, specifically focusing on enhancements in performance, efficiency, and applicability across diverse industries. The study analyses the unique geometry design of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell bipolar plates, highlighting their potential to improve power generation and reduce costs. Additionally, the research investigates the integration of digital twins in fuel cell system design and optimization, showcasing their role in predicting and enhancing overall system performance.
The paper emphasizes the importance of accurately estimating the remaining useful life of fuel cell components and systems. By effectively assessing the lifespan of these critical components, proactive planning for maintenance or timely replacement becomes feasible, ensuring the continuous functionality of fuel cell systems. This contributes to the overall durability and dependability of fuel cells, fostering their widespread adoption in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and renewable energy.

Biography:

Dr. Elias Randjbaran is a Metallurgical Engineer with a PhD and Master's degrees in Materials Engineering from the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He has over 20 years of experience in the Composite Materials Industry. Dr. Randjbaran's research interests mainly focus on Progressive damage analysis of thin-walled composite laminated structures, Buckling and post-buckling of nano composite structures, Structural crashworthiness, and ballistic impact analysis. He is a member of several societies, including Aerospace Society Malaysia (AEROS Malaysia), American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Space & Satellite Professionals International. Dr. Randjbaran and his team have published over 30 papers in prestigious academic journals, achieving citation of more than 430, an h-index of 11, and an i10-index of 15. His skills include defence, space, and advanced manufacturing.
